Your coat was so beautiful,
A bright, shiny brown,
The one thing I always trusted of you,
Was to never let me fall down.

You weren't jus a horse to me,
You were my best friend,
And it hurts me inside,
That I must live to see your end.

When you lay yourself down,
To rest, one final time,
If any thoughts go through your head,
I hope they will be mine.

There's no amount of money,
That could measure up to you,
And now though I hate to admit it,
Saying goodbye is all I can do.
