What would you do in seven short years?
Would you make the most out of them or hide from your fears?
Our little Chase chose to live every day with a smile and love to give.
Though stricken with cancer before he was five
his journey through life had only begun.
No matter how bad he might have felt,
He always knew how to make your heart melt.
Everytime he spoke he filled the room with laughter and tears.
He touched many lives in his seven short years.

He had a suprise if you took his hand,
he would walk you inside his SpongeBob land.
It was the show he loved more than anyone, you know.
He would talk of it for days if you lend him an ear,
Patrick, Gary and anything else you were willing to hear.

He fought hard to beat the disease he had.
He would never complain about feeling bad.
It's certainly not fair the battle he fought,
and those who knew him took in what he taught.
For those who missed out on life's smallest lesson;
I'm sorry you missed out on our great blessing.
For someone so young his heart was of gold.
You would have never known he was only seven years old.
