Dedicated to my father.
When I was 4 or 5 my dad ruptured a disc in his lower back and caused him to have it taken out and fused. He continued his construction job and a year later ruptured another,he progessed to a double fusion and during that surgery his dumbass doctor messed up and severed his nerves so he cant feel waist down on the surface but near the bone he has feeling. So he got put on disability and got taken out of work.Hes been out for almost 10 years. He had another surgery and got a morphine pump put into his left stomach. He had my oldest brother at the age of 17 and knew nothing about being a dad. He never had his parents for him so he had no idea. Hes gathered a little bit of info over the years through his other 4 kids excluding me. This is a very short poem though.

Lookin into those eyes
Feeling your pain
Seein why life isnt so high rise
Watchin you go through agony
Pain no man could imagine
Unexplainable Numbness
Learnin to be a father
Just as you became a kid
Too much,Too young
Grew up so fast
Learnin how to love
Asking for no help
Goin through shit
Dealing with what was delt
