A A A

A clatter sounds,
against the door.
Hollowed footsteps,
echo on the floor.

Beating heart pounds,
yet always sore.
This rat trap maze,
life's broken whore.

Lightning crashes,
through the window pane.
Faded memories,
that will leave a stain.

Life lays it's lashes,
crumbling gain.
Teardrops washing,
away with the rain.
