Please listen, I'm not about to fuckin lie,
I'm out of excuses, I can't even justify.
Maybe it hasn't been you all along,
I don't know when,
but somehow I just don't belong.

I guess I need to look inside myself,
this dusty old book that's been left up on the shelf.
Somehow I've flipped the page and landed into a new book,
with ripped pages of the same stories,
but the cover has a new look.

I fuckin hate the way I've made you feel,
I start to wonder if I should stay, even though my love is real.
I hate knowing your tears are from what I've said,
and of losing all of our years as friends,
is what I most dread.

And I know you're right I don't deserve another chance,
your heart shouldn't give me that second glance.
I won't say but, I won't fight, I'll listen to what you have to say,
Even if it doesn't mean a fresh start,
maybe there will be another day.

I just hope that you will forever know,
you're my heart, my love and it will always be so.
And I know you don't know how I make a promise like I do,
but the answer has been easy for me,
it's just always been you.
