We've all been working hard
The night is finally here
The crowd has started to gather
And I'm overwhelmed with fear

I didn't think this would happen
I'm certain I know my part
There's a deafening, beating thundering noise
That is coming from my heart

The lights have dimmed, the curtain raised
The show has just begun
The moment has come to go on stage
My legs feel like a ton

With my head held high and smile
Out on stage I go
Trying to conceal my stage fright
So that no one else will know

Things are going smoothly
Everything's coming together
The noise in my head has subsided
My legs feel like a feather

The show is over in a flash
I know it went well because
The deafening, beating thundering noise
Is now the crowds' applause

Going home I try to clear my head
I'm glad this night is through
WithOpening Night behind me
I start to fearNight Two
