I sit inside my sewing room
I enjoy this special place
Mending my family's little woes
Puts a smile upon my face

For their troubles I can't always fix
With just a simple stitch
I can't mend a broken heart
Or create their own true niche

Their lives will each take their own path
Thru careers, building dreams, a family
With a patchwork quilt of my advice
Which I always give freely

'Til there comes a time when they'll create
A special space of their own
To sit back and reflect upon
The lives that they have sewn

I sit inside my sewing room
I enjoy this special place
Where the fabric of my life's design
Has secured my dreams in place
