My heaviest and most beloved thinking often occured while trying to fall asleep at night.  I did not always put my best effort into the prospect of sleeping at these times because I knew that the thinking was important and, at times, more essential than sleep itself.  I would think about the reasons behind certain aspects of life.  I was very logical about things, which at times seemed stupid because I did realize that no one could answer all of the questions.  The pondering that had advanced me this far in my story and would have to advance my conscious the rest of the way before I got to any sort of all-inclusive evidence about the purpose of existence was always refreshing.  Refreshing, but at times elusive and iritating.

Sometimes during the course of this pondering the grandeur and mystery of life itself would overtake me.  I would stop and get a bizarre feeling of emptiness, like life wasn't really supposed to happen.  We were all partaking and providing in one illustrious, fragile dream.  This feeling would only last for mere seconds before I snapped back to reality, but it was very real.  It had substance to it, and it was rather invigorating.  I always felt like I received a small glimpse into a much higher realm of thinking when these moments occured.  A realm that wasn't meant for us to reach yet - it transcended our entire knowledge about the past, present, and future.  These moments were rare and short-lived.

I could only extend my grasp so far into these thoughts.  Many times I knew that I put too much effort into thinking about life.  I held firmly the idea that we are all just animals in this world, but that did not stop me from trying to discover deeper meaning in everything - the world, universe, heaven and hell, and anything in between.  There was a trickster teasing me with the answers, the higher knowledge, the fruits that I searched and pined for.

Before I could think any further I was enveloped by thick, black sky.  Then I was gone.
