I'm a Same-O, Same-O,
Kind of person,
When it's new and improved,
Then it seems to worsen.
It would be really nice
If they left stuff alone
Then I would have far less
Occasion to groan.
At the market I don't buy "New and Improved"
'cause I know what those sneaky ones did,
It's going to weigh less, taste worse at best,
Or have a non-functioning, Revolutionary Lid.
Buying a car is just as bad to me
They say it's improved a revolutionary breed.
They say I'm a follower, but with this car I'll lead,
Then they add all that stuff that I really don't need.
Web-sites have grown worse
With their drop-down menu,
If I could find where they hid stuff
It might be a good venue.
And just as I understand
How to navigate some site
They up and change it.
Boy does that bite!
With Booksie, I was doing so well
It was easy, non-techie, and fun
Until they decided to improve it;
Now it's got my brain on the run.
My stories, I name them all "Short"
'cause on "BOOK" I lose Chapter 2
I've tried the HELP page so often
My mouse-hand is turning blue.
***
Well I finely found out how to publish
At the bottom of the page. Really Guys?
But to add a picture, forget it!
It tells me something, then lies.
I know that they are trying to be helpful
Within this writer's technological zone
With Drop-downs, colors, and fashion.
But I wish they had left it alone!
***
Well
Their spell-check stopped working this week
And they're asking to sell me another.
I would buy it if I could send them a check
But they are too tech-ie for that. --- Oh Brother!

Aww that was so FUNNY!! I love it, but it's true....God Bless
Tue, November 13th, 2018 7:30pmI always think it's funny when companies change their product to eb 'new and improved' and it's so bad everyone revolts and they have to go back to the original. There are some things which already work so well they don't need changing. I really enjoyed your poem, it was a bit humorous and highlighted a constant struggle in life.

Thanks Archia, I guess with innovation, there is change, but when a person has to spend hundreds of dollars to buy something new every few years, that's not innovation, that's greed.
I'm waiting for the Tech-no-hammer; a $300 dollar devise that perfectly positions the nail to a precise 90 degree angle, then a computerized electronic actuator activates, which in turn drives the nail into the wood, (The computerized electronic actuator would be an add-on and it would costs another $400, on-line. Just think, for less than a $1,000 you will be able to put a nail in wood, WOW! --- LOL
Great work.Funny,smart and true!!Loved it!!

Great job. I love the over-all tone of the poem and how you are able to express frustration in still a somewhat comedic way.
