Waving our flag of freedom

Over a mob of bigots today

Doesn't say that Truth's represented

Or Justice and the American way.

It just says that force should rule

Without law to balance and protect

But history would call them a fool

Dictators don't care to reflect.

They round up power quickly

And freedoms are taken for fear

That someone's else's ideas

Will find a way to an ear.

If democracy is trimmed like a tree

The roots are hidden --- but alive

New branches of power will grow

For the Hitler's never survive.
