This is a poem about how when you love someone, you spend every moment wanting to be with them. Sometimes being with someone can drive you crazy, but once you're away from them all you can think about is wanting to be with them

He touches me softly

He kisses me lightly

He brushes my skin, electrifies me

Waiting and waiting through days so long

When will I see him? I do not know

Wanting him, and letting him go

Cursing myself, and holding him close

Endless days and time cut short

Rays of sunshine on my skin

crying loud and falling again

filled with joy, exasperated

My heart lies bruised, gashed and bleeding

loving him but losing my hold

Breathless and suffocating, I'll never know

why it is I let him go
