A brief, scientific expedition to gather some flora from the Oregon wilderness goes bad for young botanist, Zan Orion, when his rather unique arrival startles a hunter. The hunter, frightened and alarmed by what he has seen, panics and shoots the young man. He regrets his actions immediately, and carries the young man out of the woods and seeks medical attention. But along with the wounded man, the hunter carries the rather unbelievable story of Zan's arrival.
