The portal brings me to a world of pale sandstone.
Not the desolate kind, for there are occasional shrubs and small trees.
But that does not matter, I am here for something else.
The edge of the pale sky blends with the ground.
A heat blurs the details although I don't feel it.
That does not matter either.

There is something between the plancks of space.
I step towards it on the elevated path.
No, this is not enough.
I run, accelerating.

Soon, my feet no longer pounds the ground.
It fades out with my arms, the landscape.
I take off.

Everything falls away,
the sand and all,

until it is clear.
