Sounds of gunfire go straight through me,

they are here,

like I was told they would be.

As we flee,

I think of what lies ahead,

the people we will miss awfully

and the bloodshed.

Where are we now?

We've gone so far,

I don't know how

people cope with war.

Sister, you don't look so good,

I'm so sorry,

if only you understood.

Worry is the only thing going through my head,

we had better stop, i'll make you a bed.

Gripping onto my sister's hand,

don't let go,

I really need you and,

it seems like so long ago

we were safe and secure,

I know we're lost, but I can assure,

I will look after you the best I can,

this is how our journey began.
