Guns and explosives roar with rage

There's a groan of pain and a flash of crimson

Another soldier falls, adding to the neverending casualties

The whistle blows

More chaos, more deaths

A few months, a year

Yet it feels like a lifetime.

A lifetime of bloodshed.
