She watched the enemy approach with dread

Apprehension filled her entire body and made her muscles taut with stress

She fervently wished she could somehow banish them from the face of the earth

Row after row of soldiers marched closer to her place of safety

She prepared her defenses and strengthened them as much as she could

There was a split instant of peace

Then came volleys of arrows attacking her

Relentlessly, they continued to barrage her with many projectiles

She fought back as hard as she could, but her defenses started to weaken

Her counterattacks were failing miserably and her shield collapsed

She was now vulnerable and wide-open to slaughter

The enemy soldiers flooded through her, tearing everything down

They ransacked her whole mind and body, totally breaking her

She couldn't help but cry and wallow in shame

In the back of her mind, she heard her arch enemy's gleeful laugh
