looking into my daughter's eyes,

i see her and start to cry

your face in her is what i see

i guess things aren't always what they're cracked up to be

we chose to have her, then you left

every moment i have with her is truly blessed

learning the truth that was only a blatent lie

i look back on things and ask myself "why did i?"

more so of a parent than you'll ever be,

i cry and pray at night falling to my knees

you'll never see her cry, you'll never see her grow,

you'll never see the incredulous look on her face

the first time she sees the snow

she already has some teeth and backwards she can crawl,

and when she meets new people and does new things,

you should see her beautiful  curious mouth fall

she'll then laugh and capture everyone else's heart

her sparkling eyes have captured mine from the start

too bad she never caught yours.....

im tired of the fighting- i screamed till my face was blue

i seriously wish the best for your family and most of all for you

you will get older not knowing your little girl

just keep in mind the reason im not with you-

is because to me- my daughter means the world
