This is it, I’m losing, breaking down

We’re the king and concubine

Words flying in

From every open window

Screaming to let go

I’m unsure what’s become of us

And if trying to change it

Is marking an ex on my forehead

And putting the gun in your hand

Like breaking bones

And cutting veins

And causing convulsions

And only pain

I don’t want to need to

Shed

The skin of everynight

In the morning

When I wake from

Your routine abrasions

To tangled sheets and blankets

This is dysfunction at its best

Convincing and convincing

Always so reasonable

You make me feel insane

Like I can’t make

My own decisions anymore

I’m just a part of you

Some silly little appendage

Worthless

And under your control
