And when I'm with you,

Earth, Venus, and the moon

are strung along the same cosmic thread,

the stars align,

and we--are eternal.

When I am with you,

my soul fills my body with elation,

doing turns in my stomach and flips

in my chest.

fluttering in my throat--

my tongue loses its razor edge.

My knees are like putty.

My hands are all twisted nerve,

unsettled and shaky.

My lips are a quiver

and my tongue, once full with wit,

is dumb--

knowing nothing of the stars and of science...

knowing nothing of numbers...

In this moment,

my comprehension is peaked.

The only stars I know are

in your eyes;

the only science I'm sure of is chemistry--

it bubbles up rampantly betwixt you and I.

Mathematics is moot

for in this space in time,

the sum total of infinity is "two"--

which is personified by our bodies

and amplified by our souls.

We are eternal.

--dyadic souls

no longer equaling two,

but quickly surpassing space

and time.
