You don't know my name
and
You probably never did.
but
I never thought to ask
because
You were into me.
And,
that is a rarity--
in my case.
You could have your pick
of the litter.
I would bet anything
that
women throw themselves
at  your feet.
Perhaps that is why
you never placed a priority
on learning my entire
name.
So, what need have you
for someone
like me?
Am I merely a thorn
in your bed of red-red roses...?
--untravailed terrain on your
map of experiences?
Perhaps that is why
you are so eager to dispose of me
when my will
supersedes
your own.
Could you ever love someone
whose name you so readily forget?

--
I should feel privileged to have
momentarily stirred your
ever-fleeting fancy.
How dare I ever plot to plead?
