Since you went away-

This is how I spend most days.

Cleaning out the junk in my life and in my mind,

Picking up the shattered pieces you left behind.

Repairing the heart,

That you ripped apart-

At the seams,

Rebuilding my self-esteem.

Some days are harder than others-

Especially today-a day for lovers.

It hurts to know that you're spending the day with someone new,

While I spend the day alone and blue.

Time flies by-

The good news I don't cry-

Anymore when I miss you.

I only remember what I choose to.

I still listen to our song,

And sometimes I still wonder what went wrong.

But most days I just keep living,

And praying,

That someday, somebody will love me just the same-

As I loved you, only this time I hope they will remain,

And give our love a chance, you see.

And finally it really will be-For Eternity.
