Forget Him

Forget his face and the way he smiled.
Forget his touch and the way he made you shiver.
Forget his walk that only he could ever have.
Forget his eyes that you lost yourself in many a time
Forget his arms that you held as you cried
Forget his gentleness that you were amazed with
Forget his voice and the way he said his last good-bye

He treated you with respect,
Like you were the most important thing in his life,
Until she came along.
He made excuses for forgotten dates.
Then he left you.
He left you to cry on anothers’s shoulders
He left you to be with another woman.
He said you were his one and only,
The only love he’d ever have.
Then she walked in, and all his promises
Became a thing of the past.

You miss him dearly and want him back,
But he doesn’t care for you anymore.
You are just a another girl,
Another love forgotten.
Until he realizes what he’s missing
And then comes crawling back for forgiveness.
