Stubborn snow.

Fall on your cold white ass.

Dead of night, dead day pale faced and

wicked like some sick man's dreams

bad dreams

and the wires hum to keep warm

and I think of bees

I'm snow globed

stuck in a glass bubble

paralyzed and waiting,

I fall like loose change

from a hole in a pocket

and it all comes down with

the snow

and the last bit of warmth

gets sucked from my

narrow bones

like the last drops of

desert water.

July has it's cruelties

but she can come for me

and I will go without complaint

just let me die warm

on the grass, in the sun

with life around me

no cold reptile smile

teeth as white as snow

hot blooded

I will go

with the summer sun
