That evening sun is setting yet again
sinking lower than I think it's ever been
Memories and thoughts of you are moving through my head
Just the same as since I can't remember when

I can't move on, counting fireflies
I'll never understand, only God knows why
I'm standing here all alone tonight
And I find myself wishing from time to time
You were still mine

If I fall alseep, I'll wake screaming out your name
Affraid to face another lonely day
Cause in all the time we have been apart
You're my every thought, the beat inside my heart

I'm all alone under this star filled sky
I'll never understand, only God knows why
I'm laying here without you by my side
And I find myself dreaming from time to time
You're still mine
