Nothing makes you feel less in control of yourself than an unwanted thought. Our minds never stop and I try to keep mine on a positive path. But the empty space in the corners of my mind, where nothing fits quite right, tends to fill itself.  It happens when I’m in the middle of a blissful reverie. One of the corners is filled and I can see it in my peripheral vision. Curious to know what could have fit there I turn and look to be slapped in the face by something wicked. The corner was filled with a dark mirror image of my perfect reverie, revealing the worst case scenario.

For some reason the tone of your writing, of what I've read, is very personal to me and I really enjoyed it. This is a intriguing piece about unwanted thoughts or worse imaginations and fears that come unexpectedly and harshly. Well done!
