Persephone and the Pomegranate Seeds
Persephone is deep underground,
Hades relishes having her around,
Thoughts of blossoms, butterflies and blooms,
Dusty like shrouded secrets loom,
The place is grave, dark and cold,
No light until lo and behold,
There she stands in all her glory,
The Ice Queen emanates, attaining satori.
Snowflakes glimmer sprinkling their icy kiss,
Winter hymns flood the air- our souls reminisce.
Christmas cheer inflates my heart,
Remembering peace on earth it’s time to start,
Learning the lessons of love,
Finally liberating the dove.
