I’ve wrapped myself in cotton wool,
To protect myself from life,
Now the only thing that can hurt me,
Is my hand, gripping the knife.

These feelings of such emptiness,
I brought upon myself,
For I’m the one that chose to hide,
Don’t we all hide from our self?

I know sometimes it’s stupid,
I know sometimes it’s sad,
But everyday I wake up,
Is another day that’s bad.

I see it in there faces,
In the look upon there eyes,
They know I’m leaving sometime soon,
I’m severing my ties.

They know my love for them is true,
But this pain inside my heart,
Makes everyday so hard,
And every night my last.
