hi. so i've been writing a few songs, so i thought, why not post them here?
this one's an apology song. not for anyone in particular, just inspired by...something.

Wind blows on my face

Memories of you I can’t erase

I know I broke your heart

And I want to start over

The words rings like a bell

Over and over, and it hurts like hell

I know that it was almost perfect

And I want to start over

But I know why you walked away

I know why you didn’t want to stay

I took you for granted, shatter you to pieces but I didn’t want to say goodbye.

I know you’re tired of listening

To my never-ending bullshit

But I swear, if you wanna go, this’ll be the last thing that I say

I’m sorry

I didn’t know how much you’re worth until you’re not next to me

I’m sorry

I didn’t realize what I had in front me

If you want to leave, don’t rub salt to the wound, just pick up your things and walk out of the room but just before you exit I just want you to know.

I’m sorry.

Saw it like a little drizzle

But it hit me like a firing missile

Spun me over like a tornado

But I really want to start over

Maybe then you’ll find someone new

And I’ll still be stressed over you

I’ll cry but it won’t do a thing

Cause I just want to start over

But I understand why you walked away

I get the reason why you didn’t want to stay

I took you for granted; shatter you to pieces, so hard to say good-bye.

I know you’re tired of listening

To my never-ending bullshit

But I swear, if you wanna go, this’ll be the last thing that I say

I’m sorry

I didn’t know how much you’re worth until you’re not next to me

I’m sorry

I didn’t realize what I had in front of me

If you want to leave, don’t rub salt to the wound, just pick up your things and walk out of the room but just before you exit I just want you to know.

I’m sorry.

I didn’t plan for it to go this way

I thought you were just going to stay

I don’t want to loose you just because I’m afraid to say

How I really felt

But I’m sorry

For every hurtful thing I’ve done and say to you

I’m sorry

I didn’t realize how important it was to tell you the truth

I’m sorry

I didn’t know how much you’re worth until you’re not next to me

I’m sorry

I didn’t realize what I had in front me

If you want to leave, don’t rub salt to the wound, just pick up your things and walk out of the room but just before you exit I just want you to know.

I’m sorry.

There is a lot of emotion and angst in these words. I can almost imagine the melody behind the lyrics. Thanks for sharing this; I hope you can start over ;)

The ending was just so incredibly emotional! Sometimes an "I'm sorry" is all you need to say to someone to just feel better. Other times sorry is not enough. That was an amazing song! I wish I could listen the melody behind it! Do you also write music? Can I find the complete song somewhere? Great job! Keep writing!

helle, Elena!

I have never record any song i've wrote, mainly because i don't have all the fancy mics and stuff! I AM planning on making a soundcloud account so i can just record with my laptop/phone and post all my originals there...it's just a plan, but maybe i'll do it?
And thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

oh, wow.. i loved it. its a beautiful, beautiful song.. made special by the thing that it sounds so genuine, filled with real sentiment. regret is the worst thing in life..
i hope i'd hear it with music someday.
best of luck~

Mr Watson

Sometimes in life you realize your mistakes after the event, turning back the clock would change the outcome.
We live and learn. Loved the emotion and regret in the song.
