I wet the bed once.
It was awful. They were so angry with me.
It was his fault anyway. So I killed him, the monster under my bed. And they'll never find the body.
They'll never know.

I must say, I love your reaction. Simply priceless. I may have to write more "micro stories"....
Interesting spin on your usual horror story, if you'll take that as kindly as I intend it.
I think it's difficult to find unexplored horizons in horror these days, what with everyone and their respective mothers writing horror stories, but you did manage to break the mold quite well on this one.
I suppose I did break the mold -- now the only question is whether that mold was ever meant to be broken. -insert chuckle- In all honesty, I only labeled this as horror because a dear friend of mine kindly told me that it was disturbing and garish. I would have classified it as humor, but I do freely admit to having a warped sense of humor.
This story is not very effective as horror. You can compress the story to a few sentences, but you still need to establish the character or create a unique setting.
Thank you for the comment. I see what you mean, particularly after perusing your work (which is brilliant, by the way). Generally, I would agree with you, but this is a bit of out-of-the-box work for me. I wanted to experiment -- to see if I could capture the reader's imagination in very few words. I imagine this method would work for some, but fail miserably for others. Thanks again for your input.
Have to agree that this story is not so much horror as humor. Cute, though!! Glad the monster is dead! :)
I am glad I'm not the only one to see it that way! Perhaps I'll add "humor" to the tags, and let people wonder how a story can be both frightening and hilarious. :)
I can't think of much to say about this - it was very simple but very effective! It was also quite funny. :)
Thank you for the comment! "Simple but effective...funny." That's quite a relief to hear -- it's precisely what I was going for.
