The Release
Please just hush,
Why are you getting so worked up?
It’s happening again,
The hurt and the pain,
He pushes and pulls,
Grips and folds,
Getting himself all wrapped up in circles,
He struggles,
Sinking him more in trouble,
Until I grab his arm,
Pull him out of the dark,
Now he sees,
He sits here and thanks me,
I tell him there’s no need,
For your the one who saved me,
The one who got me out of this abyss,
I knew ever since you gave that first kiss,
He took the little parts of my heart,
Recovered me from the start,
But now it’s his turn,
I’m going to make sure,
I calm him right away,
Press my hand upon his skin,
Wipe away the tears,
As I chase away the fears,
And give him that light,
That he gave me tonight,
It all feels so right,
I will continue to fight,
I will never back down,
Until that crowd backs out,
Because I wasn’t lying,
When I’d lay my life down,
To save his,
I’m fully committed,
I know he knows,
He knows of this hate,
Similar to me,
He sat through all of it,
Except one wrong,
I know he’s strong,
Unlike me he can heal his flaws
