Farewell, in case I never return this way again.

March 16, 2009

Standing ashore
But mind floating high
Lost in the currents and reflections
Of the horizon’s forgotten tears

Seaward the mind floats away
Dancing on the ripples
From the soft melodic voice of the wind
And maternally caressed by its will

Of all the times lost
Where stories are born and told
In the endless expanse of sea
Is where I’ll spend my years

It’s time to set sail
And aim for the far
I’m off on a journey
To the edges of the earth

Should I return
I’ll be surprised myself
But how can one predict
A future not in sight?

A forward only journey
A trip back in time
Where a mast has become
My body and mind.
