Verse 1

every night I run away with her

Neath the skies of white asylums

mirages of paradise islands

a loft our urban lawn

lost hearts and eyes forlorn

Pre chorus

Yet we're kissing  in death's debris

under the city's greatgrey trees

young, lonely, yet free

beautiful and ashamed,

we're always against the grain

But we're singing in the sorrow

dancing in the hollow

oh ow oh

a pair of  splendid swallows

leave us to wallow

dancing in the hollow

Verse 2

now she run's away from me

I should let her be?

why  won't  she just set me free?

thought she was my cure,

such aloof alure

left me begging for more

how will i endure?

now I'm through the city's cellar door

alone and chewing off my jaw

Pre chorus 2

 lying in my own debris

my very own grey tree

young lonely yet free

Who's to say I'm still me?

clinging to my brain

cast out against the grain

oh i'm sobbing in my sorrow

dancing in the hollow

oh ow oh

a death diving swallow

how long can i wallow

still dancing in the hollow

oh  oh

dancing in the hollow, oh ow oh,

dancing in the the hollow, woah ah oh.
