She bows malign lonesome nights.

Her eyes, though wise with wry.

Flicker through the glitter of the night sky.

A-drift the white asylums,

each a pipe in the vast vacuous maze.

Swipes from the knights of amorous haze.

Pray no more in solace for our better days...

For we'll right our plight in Albion.

Breath new light to the doves, that shimmered and shone...

Aloft the slow glow light dawn of the urban lawn.

Harp back once more to chivalrous hours.

When rode where nights in fine fettle,

twisting and dancing neath tulip petals.

Though not yet forged with metal,

phoenix flight flames will eternal burn,

whilst embers hold such yearn.

For brave knights stand-guard our conjugal bed.

 star-spangled blankets,

woven with such heart.

That not the darkest night could part.
