My greatest foe is the man in the mirror,
An enigma to most but to me he's never been clearer,
He's my only obstacle the thing I wish to push past,
But his emotionless gaze haunts me through the glass,
What does he know about me I can't figure out,
His actions speak nothing and he won't make a sound,
I wish to ask him these questions I have in my head,
But keep them inside fearing the words he will have said,
Does he even have emotion can he even speak,
Or is he trapped on the other side just like me,
Waiting for answers that I can't give,
Holding in questions that could allow him to live,
I fear his situation for its just like mine,
Staring in a mirror hoping its answers I find,
No answers are revealed only more questions stack up,
Neither of us asking but just waiting there stuck,
This silence will surely end us and it just goes to show,
If you never ask the questions you'll just never know.
