See your friends. Be careful not to notice how happy they are with their partner, or how sad you are without yours, or how jealous their happiness with their partner makes you.
Get outdoors. Experiment with your new-found freedom, but try not to find yourself daydreaming about them experiencing your happiness with you because that’s what you’ve always wanted.
Drink. But not enough to get hung-over. Your life should already be lacking in something you once thought you needed to live without them there to support you through the after-effects of a good night out on the town like you used to have.
Think about the future. But without you-know-who. Try not to think about their face you’ll see when they see their first child in their arms. Try not to think of them in your arms as you lay in your freshly moved couch in your new home. Try not to think of the face you once called home but now seems like a foreign place.
Crawl. But not too fast. You don’t want them to see the look of desperation on your face matching your bloodied knees.
