Love without hesitation

Emma, proud at 15, held her breath in anxiety. Behind her back clutched a flower-bouquet, fresh and bursting with the smell of honey. They were picked specially.
She rang the doorbell of a small, eternity-old house. However, with the moonlight shining onto its disgruntled doorstep, the appearance was more enchanting than eerie.

The door opened. There stood another girl, with eyes like the ocean itself.

First came the flowers. Then, “Happy Birthday,” and a smile so sweet.

Emma summoned all bravery, took a step forward, and their lips crushed.

Against all odds and fear, she kissed back.

I love you.
