Feathers black out a starlit night
Soaring so gently amongst the breeze
Heaven sent to collect lost souls
An angel with wings as dark as soot
With feathers of ebony
and amber eyes,
here the crow flies alone.
With feathers of ebony
and a heart for love,
Quoth the raven, ‘Nevermore’.
Roaming the skies, naked of clouds,
sent to the earth from Hade’s shore.
A silhouette seen against a full moon,
raped of its destiny, a vengeful soul.
