My book begins and ends with you.

You are the hard cover that warms me in the winter

The thin pages that I flip through

Day by day

As each hour passes by

I continue to unfold you

Learning a new detail on every sheet.

You are the words typed on every leaf

Flowing softly like a stream in the spring

And tying together every loose end

Delicately chosen words, yet planned

Put together thoughtfully, but unraveling

Each one brings about a new piece of you

And like a puzzle I put you together

And as you become complete,

As do I.

Our story should be never-ending

But all good things must come to an end

Every book has a last line.

Every day ends at eleven fifty-nine

My love for you will never die

But you must remember this

You are my beginning

And you are my end

You are my book

But I am just a chapter in yours.
