Poem about happiness.

To achieve Happiness

Little children assume happiness is easy

Their parents shield them from reality

But then they grow older and their spirits grow wheezy

They realize that they've been fed a fallacy

Little Billy grew up and it wasn't what he expected

His happiness came in liquid form from a brown bottle

Being a good Christian didn't make him accepted

And the adults wonder why he lives recklessly on full throttle

People are a miserable monolith

Some cure life with Xanax and Zoloft

Others seek a high with heroin and meth

Many limp through a life that isn't very soft

The lonely and hopeless live in a giant, empty heave

And that's because happiness isn't easy to achieve
