One minute ago
But what does it mean
A place of course in time
That we have all been
Even writing this poem
It’s been and gone
So why would I try
To carry on
Well I think the reason might be
That everything we do
Has a place in the future
But how that happens I haven’t a clue
When you think it doesn’t matter
Something you might do or say
Just remember your future
Is only one minute away
So I know that my past
Has made the person I am
And what I do now
Will be part of some plan
A decade, a year, an hour
It all blends into one
One minute turns into a day
And what is done can’t be undone
So I know one thing for sure
A man only has so many heartbeats in his time
So I will try and do my best for you all
This is how I will use mine
And to use a famous quote
From a hero of mine
I will only pass this way
Just one time
