I believe spending what extra time I do find is a rare experience in itself considering the fact we live in a world of demands, distractions, rush, busy and go routines. How often do we spend that rare and valuable time visiting loved ones, friends or someone we hardly know, or in visiting them in Nursing homes, Hospitals, shelters, missions or in paying our respects to our loved ones or friends who have passed away ... now resting in a nearby Cemetery?
Do we take the time to thank a military person or veteran for their service when we see them?

There are special programs available for volunteers at VA Centers, VFWs and some military installations. Check them out and maybe you will find one that you really like in helping out.

I am guilty of this as I am sure numerous other people are too. Too often we forget, or take for granted just how important our family members and friends are to us. So, I for one will make a stronger effort to visit others, or in finding a way to help others not as fortunate as myself. I truly hope that this article serves as a reminder to you .... people enjoy laughter, company .. chit chat .. attention .. knowing our elders really do. Please pass the word.
