Another sonnet on disasters.
A bit like "drought"
Hope you like it.

Flood

The rains have come, they will not stop.
We’re facing a season of flood.
Gallons of water drip and drop.
Our land is now a field of mud.

Cascades of water drown the crops.
Even the tree trunks start to bend.
As I wonder, my heart just drops.
When will this monstrosity end?

A single bud shoots from the ground.
The rain ceases to continue.
The silence is an eerie sound.
But the awful flood is now through.
The flood has drowned my tender heart.
But there is hope for a new start.
