Strength is what it takes to do something for yourself

Courage is what it takes to do it for others

Harriet Tubman was never a slave

She was a woman

A strong, courageous woman

Never brought down by the lashing of a whip

Or the pounding of a fist

She kept visions of freedom in her head

She was never weakened

She took the journey for herself

Then took others' hands and led them through it as well

Back over and over again

She never lost a soul

Saving people over and over again

Until she couldn't walk another step

She showed strength like no other had before

She proved to all that she...

Truly was Moses

Wow! A great poem here to commemorate Harriet Tubman. I think it's really cool that your poems will honour some important people during Black History Month. I look forward to reading these future poems. All the very best to you.
