My hometown came to be

when they founded Indiana University.

Over the years it has changed a lot,

from horse and buggy to parking lots.

In my lifetime there's been more than a few.

The old hang out spot where I met you

are now brick apartments with a city view.

As time changes life goes on,

long after we are dead and gone.

In the sands of time may we heartprints leave.

Future generations our stories weave,

of love, honor, dreams, and deeds.

Forever sowing, planting seeds

that "We the people" can succeed.
