Sex and Betrayal

By Joseph Logsdon

Frank Thomson was a happily married man. Despite his troubled past, Frank managed to lead a peaceful and secure life. Unlike most men his age, Frank was a proud and independent father, husband, and friend. As the years went by, Frank became increasingly miserable and frustrated. He wanted to be faithful to his wife, but his desire for untouched flesh was too strong to overcome. After years of worry and doubt, Frank Thomson finally decided to cheat on his beautiful and loving wife.

Rhoda Thompson had been married for many years. Unlike Frank, Rhoda was a devout Christian. She wanted her husband to be faithful to her forever, but she knew that he would have to be kept in line. Because of her strong sense of right and wrong, Rhoda would often remind Frank of his dark and seedy past. Frank wanted to love his wife, but her attitude often forced him to be distant. One bleak afternoon, Rhoda decided to tell Frank about her upcoming vacation.

“Frank, can I speak to you for a minute?” Rhoda asked.

“What is it?”

“How many years has it been since I went on vacation?”

“Don’t ask me, I wouldn’t know.”

“Tell me, why do you work so much?”

“If I didn’t work, we couldn’t eat.”

“I know that, but I still think you should consider getting a new job, at least for the next few months.”

“That’s out of the question,” Frank replied.

“We need the money,” Frank answered.

“What’s more important, money or your family?”

“Unless you want to be homeless, I will have to keep working.”

“That’s too bad,” she whispered.

“What do you mean?”

“I bought us two tickets,” she answered.

“What are you talking about?”

“Hawaii is lovely this time of year, isn’t it?”

“Rhoda, we can’t afford that!”

“Sorry, I already paid for the tickets.”

“Can you get a refund?”

“I’m afraid not,” she laughed.

“You’ll have to take someone else,” Frank grunted as he paced the room.

“Are you serious?”

“I’m more than serious, I’m furious!”

“Are you sure about this?”

“I wish I could go with you, but I have a business meeting tomorrow.”

“Do you want me to buy you a souvenir?”

“At this point, I couldn’t care less,” Frank grunted.

After Rhoda left for Hawaii, Frank finally had time to pursue other women. One sunny afternoon, a sad and lonely teenager knocked on Frank’s door. At first, Frank was reluctant to answer, but he soon changed his mind and answered the door.

“Can I help you?” Frank asked as he stared at the blonde beauty.

“Sir, can I use your phone?”

“What’s wrong?”

“I need to call my mother,” she answered.

“I don’t mean to pry, but why do you need to call your mother?”

“I would rather not say,” she answered.

“Come on, you can tell me,” Frank said in a friendly voice.

“I ran away,” she answered.

“Why did you run away?”

“I don’t know, I just did.”

“Don’t worry, you’re save with me,” Frank said as he allowed the young teenager to enter his house.

“So, what’s your name?” Frank asked.

“Jenny Williams,” she answered.

“That’s a very pretty name.”

“If you don’t mine me asking, what’s your name?” Jenny asked.

“Frank Thomson,” he answered.

“That’s a good strong name,” she exclaimed.

“It gets me around,” Frank said as he led the young woman into the kitchen.

“You have a beautiful home.”

“Would you like a drink?” Frank asked.

“As good as that sounds, I really need to call my mother,” she answered.

“How old are you, Jenny?”

“I’ll be 17 next May,” she answered.

“Do you have a boyfriend?”

“I did, but we broke up.”

“What for?”

“He cheated on me.”

“I couldn’t imagine anyone cheating on you,” Frank laughed.

“Do you mean that?”

“If I didn’t mean it, I wouldn’t have said it.”

“Are you always this nice?” Jenny naively asked.

“Just with you.”

“Are you flirting with me?”

“Does it bother you?”

“Not at all,” she replied.

“Now, how about that drink?”

“My mother can wait,” she laughed.

After several hours of drinking, Jenny was drunk and unstable. Without further hesitation, Frank proceeded to kiss her. At first, she was horrified, but her anger soon turned into lust.

“Should we be doing this?” Jenny asked.

“I don’t know, should we?”

“I’m a virgin,” she declared.

“Yeah, so?”

“Doesn’t that make you nervous?”

“It doesn’t matter,” he answered.

Without further hesitation, Frank made love to a teenage girl. For the first time in his life, Frank felt liberated and free. The following morning, Frank awoke and made his way to the kitchen. Once there, he stood in shock as his wife opened the front door.

“Honey, I didn’t expect you home so soon,” Frank exclaimed as he wet himself.

“You cheating bastard!” Rhoda shouted.

“What are you talking about?”

“You fucked her, didn’t you?”

“Fucked who?”

“I can’t believe you would cheat on me,” she whimpered.

“Rhoda, what’s going on?” Frank asked.

“You cheated, that’s what’s going on!”

“I assure you, you’re mistaken,” he stuttered.

“Don’t bother, I saw you with her.”

“That’s impossible!”

“I hired her,” she answered.

“What are you talking about?”

“She’s my cousin,” Rhoda answered.

“That can’t be true!”

“Believe me, it’s true.”

“Why would you hire her to have sex with me?”

“That wasn’t the plan,” she answered.

“What was the plan, then?”

“I wanted to see if you would cheat on me,” Rhoda whimpered.

“Let me guess, I failed the test, right?”

“You also fucked an under-aged girl.”

“Yeah, I guess I did,” Frank stuttered.

“Because of your betrayal, I’m going to turn you in,” she announced.

“What do you mean?”

“You’re going to be in jail for a very long time,” she laughed.

“You forced me to do it!”

“You did this yourself, not me!”

After several agonizing weeks, Frank Thomson was found guilty of rape. Like so many other sinners, Frank wallowed in self-pity as his world fell apart. He wanted to be a good man, but his carnal desire prevented him from leading a good life.
