My mom was a single mom. She did not always get a lot of help from my dad before or after their divorce because he suffered so intensely from Post-traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD). She was not perfect, but she did not need to be. I still love her anyways. She is my mom, and my life would have been wrong without her. Thank You Mom! I love you!

Sweet mother sits in rocking chair

The tears gleam her eyes

She cries

Knowing that the angels have sang

Knowing they have died

She rocks and the music sings on.

Sweet mother sits in rocking chair

As she prays that her angels will

Live on

Beyond herself

But why is the devil playing the fiddle

Killing them softly with his song

Swing low Sweet chariot

She knows the light is out there

But the stairway to heaven

Crumbles to her steps

Sweet mother sits in rocking chair

The rocking not so easy

When you have tried

But you have died a thousand times

And only the angels know

How sweet thou art.

Sweet Mother sits in rocking chair

The tears gleam her eyes

Crying softly

As she had in the past

But they heard

Your angels heard.

And they will fight.

And they will fight.

I love you mom!
