Summary

I am often upset, but rarely am I shocked about the way history moves forward in the World. Often, it seems trapped to yesterday. This poem is a thought from my mind in regards to the world, especially the states. Sometimes, I like to just think, and sometimes, I offer up thoughts to be looked further into. You decide!

I walk on land

(This Land is ours)

over the graves of red on red on red

on the dead

on stolen black

and I say…

I say why do we care?

Do we care about others?

When we eat…

We eat our young

We eat our old

Yet we say we care? Do we?

And I walk

I walk on land

(This Land is ours)

of lusty, loveless, greedy, thieving S.O. freakin’ B’s

and I see

I have seen…our naked ugly history

Can we see the hypocrisy if it was printed in white better?

What right do we have?

To feed their old

while we kill their young

caring too much about less

and not much about more…

more about us

us – a word you rarely hear
