Today I grieve...

I grieve the loss of my forever love,

Forever is no more, it can never be...

I knew it not then, but it seems I lied when I said,

"Tonight I met the one with whom I would spend the balance of my days."

The sickness my soul-mate contains inside his head I did not foresee,

And battles I fought with the cancers of his mind, I have lost, and so...I grieve.

The tender parts of himself he shared with me, which no one else saw,

Which brought out the best parts of me, are no more, and so...I grieve.

The flicker of light which once lit our kindred love is now extinguished,

Existing only in the pained memories of my mind, and so...I grieve.

Farewell, my love...I am sending out vibrations of gratitude to you,

Thank you for crossing my life's pathway, and in the meantime...I grieve.
