Good can be used
For a number of things
As a gift to a word
And a gift it does bring
It tells you something is positive
It tells you something is right
It tells you something
Is as pure as white

Night is an excuse
To hide many things
It calls for a crime
An attractive call is to sing
It tells you something is frightening
It tells you something is wrong
It tells you something
Is not as it should belong

Good Night on the other hand
Is different completely
It is a wish unto you
Though taking both sides discretely
It assures you quiet
It assures you peace
But don't forget it hints
At a restless sleep
