The heartbroken crow looks up to the sky

a teardrop of sadness, wells from his eye

for the crow is black, and so is his soul

but deep in his chest beats a heart of gold

a heart that pounds in longing and lust

forcing his tears down into the dust

He challenged his dreams but foolish was he

for his love for a swan, could never possibly be

she is elegant, gracefull and strong

and he is just a blackbird, cranky and wrong

her heart is pure, wistfull and wise,

his heart dictates, demands and denies

although their love could never possibly be,

he still lives in hope for foolish is he

One day his final breath shall bid you farewell

and effectively send his black soul to hell

but know you one thing his spirit shall live

and forever wait for that swans heart to give
